Johannes Geisler

Next Generation Industrial- and Automotive Designer

Johannes Geisler is an award-winning, international working industrial designer and mainly working in the field of industrial, car, automotive, tractor, product and biotech design, based near Vienna, Austria. After the Ortweinschule for Art and Design in Graz he studied Industrial Design at the FH Joanneum Graz under the guidance of Gerhard Heufler, Gerald Kiska and Achim Storz and was Intern in FUORE DESIGN in Barcelona under Erwin Leo Himmel with furniture and vehicle exterior design. As automotive designer at MAGNA STEYR in Graz, he was working for European premium car OEMS like BMW, MINI, FIAT, OPEL etc. and global Asian brands from 2005 up until 2015. As Senior Designer, Lead Designer, Deputy Chief Designer he was responsible for the exterior /interior design of different cars, and also for the approval of series vehicles, show cars and machines as well as tractors. Johannes set up his own business in 2016 be able to work on innovative impact projects with clients in the long term. Biggest customer is ITL with the Brands SOLIS and SONALIKA. His ability to bring new concepts to production brought him the chance to develop a completely new European product design language of all tractors produced by ITL. The aim was a Design language, which works on the global and European market. He developed a modern, internationally oriented design line for ITL. More than 160000 tractors/year are now manufactured and sold worldwide under the brand names Solis and Sonalika. Work examples include the 2018 market entry models Solis 20, Solis 26, Solis 50 and facelifts of the S50, S75 and S90 and S110. In 2019, the St4 line Solis 20, Solis 50, Solis 90 designed by Johannes was rolled out in Asia, Africa and South America. In 2022, the US market was included with the H24 I S24 I S75 and H 24 CAB under SOLIS TRACTORS USA. The Solis "Nova" Design, created by Johannes, is the design benchmark of the whole Solis S75 Stage V, S90 Stage V and S110 Stage V Design, which has entered the European market 2023 -2025. The Solis S90 St5 has been awarded 2023 on the Agritechnica Hannover as TOP 3 Utility Tractors of the year. The Solis 26 was the most sold tractor in Germany 2022. In addition to mobility and vehicle projects, Geisler also works in biotechnology design in the areas of cell cultivation for the start-up Lifetaq. Johannes supports the startup Lifetaq with his industrial design expertise for the machine "Tissura" for Lifetaq, which has the power to revolutionize the entire pharmaceutical industry. As a result, drugs can be tested faster, better, and more efficiently, and animal testing can be made obsolete or significantly reduced globally. The aim is to design projects, that create a postive global impact. In 2025, the Start Up Lifetaq got the "ACR Start Up Price" in Austria.
