Georg Wanker

Georg Wanker Industrial Design (GWID) is an Industrial Design Studio located in the city of Graz/Austria. Georg Wanker, born 1981 and the founder of GWID, is an Industrial Design graduate from the University of Applied Science in Graz. Together with two partners, he founded the award winning Design Studio EDELWEISS Industrial Design in 2005 and in the beginning of 2012 opened his own Studio GWID. He also has been a lecturer at the CAD/University of Applied Science since 2009. Georg Wanker has worked on a multitude of industrial and consumer products from the development stage to mass production and on to international marketplaces. The main focus of his work is target group-oriented industrial design, “Industrial Design is a strategic consulting service, not an arty act of creation.” He is a professional Industrial Designer and Consultant and has also proven himself as an excellent improviser in any given situation. He loves to leave “the beaten track“ to identify efficient and sustainable solutions which guarantee success for his customers. Amongst other plaudits his work was awarded with the red dot product design award 2012
