Joseph Binder Award 2014: A Decision has been reached!

Out of a total of 690 entries, the international jury has shortlisted 79: nine projects are going to win gold, while 14 will receive silver and 13 bronze; the remaining 43 entries will be honoured with distinctions.
As many as 340 graphic designers and illustrators from 29 countries submitted their works, a little more than 10 per cent of which made it to the shortlist. Among the participants were numerous members of designaustria and its partner organisations, plus a number of promising new talents. However, the winners of the trophies in gold, silver, and bronze will not be announced before the official award ceremony, held at the designforum in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier on 23 October 2014.

Aus insgesamt 690 Einreichungen hat die Jury 79 für einen Hauptpreis nominiert. Der Joseph Binder Award 2014 in Gold kommt neun Mal zur Vergabe, 14 Beiträge gewinnen Silber, 13 Beiträge Bronze und 43 Arbeiten erhalten eine Auszeichnung.
340 GrafikdesignerInnen und IllustratorInnen aus 29 Nationen waren beteiligt, auf die Shortlist schafften es mehr als 10%, darunter zahlreiche Mitglieder von designaustria sowie viele Nachwuchstalente. Wer die Trophäen in Gold, Silber und Bronze gewonnen hat, wird bei der offiziellen Preisverleihung am 23. Oktober 2014 im designforum im Wiener MuseumsQuartier verlautbart.

Am Tag darauf, dem 24. Oktober , findet wieder das Joseph Binder Symposium statt, das diesmal unter dem Thema »Wohin führt die Linie? Die Zukunft der Illustration« steht. Weitere Informationen über das Symposium folgen in Kürze.
