designaustria ist organizing the following national and international design awards:
The Joseph Binder Award is an international competition with a focus on graphic design and illustration that is held every two years. Participation is open to professional graphic designers and illustrators and to design students from all over the world. They may enter projects in the fields of graphic design, illustration, and Design Fiction.
Every two years, the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sporthonours three-dimensional design from Austria within the framework of a competition. This design showcase is organised by designaustria.
Every two years, designaustria, in collaboration with an Austrian publishing house, the Institute of Literature for Young People, and the Federal Ministry for Culture as its partners, organises the Romulus Candea Prize—an illustration award for a fully illustrated, unpublished children’s book.
